How The Glen is Keeping Residents Safe During the Coronavirus Pandemic
As COVID-19 is still lingering in Louisiana, the staff at The Glen are doing everything possible to keep residents safe during the pandemic. Here’s some more information on the safety measures and guidelines we’re following to keep the community safe during these unprecedented times.
Weekly Updates
We’re regularly updating the news and events section of our website with information about COVID-related safety measures and our current community status. There’s a new post regularly each week with updates including quarantine guidelines and mitigation measures in place to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Virtual Tours
Normally, we encourage prospective residents and family members to schedule an in-person tour to see our facilities, but we’re also offering virtual tours. Simply click the appropriate button on our Contact Us page and you’ll be able to email a member of The Glen team to schedule a live virtual tour, have your questions answered and view the community from the comfort and safety of your own home.
Scheduled Visitation
The Louisiana Department of Health has directed all licensed health care providers to revise visitation policies and procedures and to follow new guidelines, and The Glen is following suit. Therefore, due to the current infection rate in the parish, all visitations are by appointment only, all visitors are screened and visitations are limited to two guests per resident at a time.
Other Safety Measures
In addition to the above safety measures, we’re also going above and beyond to ensure resident, visitor and staff safety at all times on our campus. Here are some other examples of safety measures we’ve implemented:
- Universal use of face masks for all personnel
- Use of recommended isolation protocols for those with exposure to a positive resident or staff member
- Quarantine of COVID-19-positive staff at home
