At The Glen, we believe a senior living community should be an active participant in the broader world around it. Through partnerships, volunteer programs and local events, The Glen proudly fosters senior engagement and connections. Residents are much more than spectators. They’re contributors, mentors and active voices in the community.
How We Support Community Outreach in Shreveport
- Collaborative partnerships – We team up with local schools, nonprofits and civic organizations to support education, health and cultural initiatives that benefit both the residents and the Shreveport community.
- Volunteerism and advocacy – Residents and team members volunteer time and talents to causes close to their hearts, from food drives to literacy programs and beyond.
- Educational events – We host support groups for caregivers of individuals living with memory loss, offering education, encouragement and connection for those navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, as well as special programs, based on culture, arts, technology and science.
The Glen’s approach to community outreach is guided by our commitment to dignity, compassion and engagement for both residents and the greater Shreveport-Bossier City area.
