When it comes to retirement communities, the staff is just as important as the location, services and amenities. Interaction is one of the core elements of lifestyle quality.
At The Glen, staff members treat their roles and responsibilities as more of a passion or calling. Staff truly cares about every resident. Five different staff members shared their view of The Glen and what you can expect if you or a loved one becomes a resident at The Glen.
An employee of The Glen for the past 25 years, Linda serves as the Director of Environmental Services. Here’s what Linda had to say about why she loves working at The Glen:
“It’s meaningful when someone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable, and at The Glen, it’s just what we do here,” Linda said. “The best part of working at The Glen are the relationships I have with staff and residents. I hold those close to me because they have been a big part of my life for the past 25 years.”
Anthony has been with The Glen for nine years and is part of the maintenance team that keeps all the buildings running smoothly and the grounds maintained. Here’s what Anthony had to say about his job:
“The best part is I’m helping the residents,” he said. “I enjoy making it a comfortable place for them to live.”
With The Glen since 2014, Magan has served as assistant director of nursing at The Glen Village Health Care. Here’s what Magan had to say about why she chose The Glen, and her comments on the talented and friendly staff:
“After experiencing various long-term care settings, I chose The Glen because their values and mission aligned with what I felt was important to our seniors,” she said. “I truly feel blessed to work with people that show compassion and care not only for the residents, but also the residents’ families.”
