Three Glen employees take on new roles at The Cottages

Staff commit to mission of enriching the lives of seniors

The Glen Retirement System has made three recent staff changes. These employees, along with other staff, have committed to continuing a strong legacy of service where every employee offers care, compassion and concern for each of the residents who live at The Glen. Founded in 1898, The Glen continues to follow its mission to enrich the lives of seniors in the community. At The Cottages, The Glen has created a unique model of care to provide individualized assisted living, memory care with a support system beneficial to both residents and family members.

Cynthia Reese has been named the Director of Independent and Assisted Living at The Glen. Reese, who works in both The Stiles Apartments and The Cottages at The Glen, has over 20 years of experience as an executive with a focus on services to the aging population. “I am looking forward to working with the leadership team, staff, volunteers and community partners to serve older adults in the Shreveport-Bossier City area with the highest quality of care and services,” Reese said. “It is a great honor and privilege to be a part of carrying on a long tradition of excellence, compassion and mission-driven services.”

Kora Webber has been named the Nursing Director over Assisted Living at The Glen. Webber is a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana and Illinois. She has worked at The Glen for almost two years. Webber’s dynamic health care background facilitated her strong leadership and clinical skills. The residents and staff at The Stiles Apartments and The Cottages at The Glen benefit from her expertise daily. “The Glen is like its own little city,” Webber said. “I enjoy being able to develop close personal relationships with our residents and their families.”

Gwendolyn Bradley has been named Wellness Coordinator at The Cottages at The Glen. Bradley is a Licensed Practical Nurse with specialized training in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care. She has 13 years of experience in the health care industry and has spent the last four years caring for assisted living residents at The Glen. In May, Bradley was promoted to Wellness Coordinator at The Cottages where she develops personalized care plans for each resident based on their individual abilities in an assisted living, memory care setting. “Residents have a wealth of knowledge that they love to share and I enjoy learning about their experiences,” Bradley said. “I thrive in being able to make a positive impact in their lives. It is a very rewarding and fulfilling experience.”
